The Geometry Dash Demonlist is a user-created database that ranks the difficulty of different Demon levels in Geometry Dash. The official list was first a discussion in the game forums, but it was eventually transferred to a separate website, where it has been updated since April 2015. The list currently rates Slaughterhouse as the most difficult Demon level in the game.
Each player who completes a level on the Main or Extended List will receive Demonlist points, and the number of points a player possesses will decide their position on the Stats Viewer leaderboard. Spaceuk now holds the record for having the most Demonlist points among players according to the Individual Stats Viewer, while the United States currently holds the record for having the most Demonlist points among nations, with a total of 7764.76.
Overview
The Demonlist, which was formerly divided into two lists with 75 levels each, Main and Extended, had a total of 50 Demon levels in Geometry Dash series until being increased to 100 in October 2017 and 150 in June 2019. When the community eventually switched to displays with greater refresh rates, it enabled users to finish levels that had previously been impossible owing to the limits of lower refresh rates.
List
According to the general opinion of the players, given the time that had to be invested in the levels and the skill needed to complete them on normal mode, the Main List and the Extended List now include subjectively ranked Demon levels. The lists are divided into two, each comprising 75 Demons, as a management technique. Demons that previously resided on the list but were expelled as new levels were annexated are included in the Legacy List. The Legacy List is updated whenever a new Demon is lowered but does not maintain any sort of hierarchy.
Submissions
Each Demon level that has been added to the list has its own overview, a record-setting summary, and a video link for the achievement. A record must meet the requirements listed below in order to be submitted:
Demon rules
- Demons have the upper hand.
- Demons must be rated in order to be listed here.
- Even if the hack-verifier makes the level easier, the Demon will be immediately demoted to the bottom of the Legacy List if a level’s difficulty was changed by hacking. Zodiac, Arctic Arena, and Furious Flames are illustrative instances.
- A Demon won’t be added if it receives a hacked update before it qualifies for the list.
- If a Demon has a hidden passageway, it won’t be added.
- Despite this, Limitless is renowned for its secret route and is currently on the Legacy List.
- If a Demon is list worthy, rated, and has at least one authentic victor, it will still be added to the list even if the initial verification was hacked. Athanatos, Zodiac, and ZAPHKIEL are notable instances.
- A Demon that has been deleted from the servers or is unrated will be dropped directly to the Legacy List’s bottom. Astral Divinity (then known as God Eater), Wasureta, and Kowareta are notable instances.
- Levels that are 2-player and have been validated by two or more players will not be added to the list, despite the fact that Bang Gang and Codependence have been legally verified and are challenging enough to be included on the Main/Extended List.
Submission rules
- Rules for submission Records must be authentic and submitted to a streaming service.
- The submitter’s recordings will be deleted from the list if they post fake recordings and present them as genuine. A few examples of illegal records are using speed hacks, noclip, autos, nerfs, macros, etc. Currently, a framerate bypass of 360 is permitted per the regulations.
- Records must be kept on the level’s live version and normal mode, or on a suitable bug-fixed/low detail clone of the level.
- To be included on the list for a level, the record holder must reach the required percentage.
General guidelines
- Clicks must be added to videos after they have been submitted.
- All records previously added will be erased if a level receives a buff update and is pushed up the list because they were not obtained on the official version of the level.
- If the update’s goal is to nerf, then this does not apply. No new records will be added unless the change is so extreme as to shift the level to the Legacy List.
Bugfix and LDM guidelines
- Verifications still give points even when they do not count as records on the list.
- Your records will momentarily be removed from the list if you are in a group where people beat levels for the same channel.
- Fixing bugs and LDM principles
- Records using the built-in LDM of a level are constantly eligible.
- Records on the right level LDM copies are eligible. If you are uncertain about which decorations you can delete or not, please get in touch with a list moderator. In general, decorations that hinder the player’s view, such as blind transitions, flashes, or boss battles, should not be removed from an LDM copy.
- Regarding the first rule, it is acceptable to utilize it if the aforementioned decorations are taken out of a level’s built-in LDM.
Records for levels with the proper bugfix copies for various refresh rates are eligible. If you are confused of what constitutes a bug or not, please get in touch with a list moderator.
